Easter

Since Easter was the day after the girls birthday party, we had lots of family in town. This is also the reason that it has taken me so long to blog about it - I was pretty exhausted after the party:)

The Easter Bunny hid the girls baskets for the first time, so they actually had to look for them this year.

Harper actually found both baskets because Tannah claimed the first basket that Harper found.

They also got lots of presents from Aunt Brynne and Grandma:)

Someone should have told me to take off my sunglasses:)

After family pictures, we took off down the block for an Easter Egg hunt.

Dying Easter Eggs

We got invited to an Easter Egg dying party shortly before Easter. It was two houses down. Another neighbor brought a bounce house, and the kids played on the swing set, jumped in the bounce house, ate pizza, dyed Easter Eggs (I boiled 6 dozen!), and had a blast. For several days after, they kept wanting to go into Asher's house to play all the time.

I didn't get any pictures of the actual egg dying because I was the only mom helping two kids, but the girls thoroughly enjoyed it.

3rd Birthday Party

The girls celebrated their birthday with friends and family today. They had an Umizoomi themed birthday party, and it was so much fun. We made shape belts, Milli headbands, had a scavenger hunt, and lots of fun with friends.

My original plan was for one six layer rainbow cake. That was until I realized just how tall a six layer cake would be, and I decided to make two-three layer cakes. Still beautiful, and still delicious.

After receiving these dress-up clothes, the girls have started referring to themselves and each other as princess:)

When I asked the girls who they wanted to invite to their party, they always said Dar Dar (their daycare provider ) and Kahlua (her dog). Darcy's daughter had a volleyball tournament during the party, so she wasn't able to make it, but she stopped by later for a piece of cake and brought Kahlua. It was so special for the girls! They love her so much!

Three Year Well Baby

The girls rocked their three year well baby appointments. Well, at least Tannah did:) Tannah happily completed all of the doctor's requests, while Harper was a little more stubborn. They are both very healthy though:)

Three Years

I didn't have a hard time when the girls turned one or two, but three is hitting me really hard. They are such amazing little girls, but there is no hint of baby left in them (other than the frequent bursts of crying I suppose:).

• Disney has solidly made its way into our house. The girls both love Frozen and ask to listen to (and emphatically sing) Let It Go multiple times every day. They also love Dumbo and Cinderella.
• They love to color, paint, take care of their babies, and "cook" in their kitchen. They love building with their blocks and playing Memory games.
• They love to sing. Let It Go. All day long. It's a good thing I like that song, and I find their not entirely correct versions adorable. I tried to teach Tannah the correct words, but she firmly told me that she didn't need help.
• Tannah has 20 teeth, and Harper has 19.
• They wear size 3T and 4T shirts and size 3T pants. They wear size 8 shoes.
• They sleep from about 9 until 7. I have a feeling that it's not going to be too long until they no longer take naps.
• They love their blankies and puppies and big hugs and kisses. Their favorite stories are any of the Brown Bear, Brown Bear books and Llama Llama and the Bully Goat.
• Tannah has been asking to let her hair be crazy lately, which means to not pull it back. I don't like when the girls have hair in their eyes, so I generally convince her to do something with it, but their daycare provider tells me that she takes it out practically as soon as I leave.

My little sweeties bring so much joy to everyone around them!

I saw an idea on Pinterest to ask your children the same 20 questions every year around their birthday, and to eventually make a book. I think it's a really cool idea, so I tried it with the girls this weekend. Harper acted like she was taking a guess every time she answered. I would ask her a question, and she would say, "how about...". It was cracking me up.

New Orleans

Wei-Yand and I went to New Orleans this past weekend. I would call it our first child-free vacation since the girls were born. I missed the girls terribly, but we (and they) had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa came to stay with them, and Aunt Brynne, Uncle Joe, and Gianna also came up for the weekend. The girls were less than impressed when they woke up Tuesday morning and we were home and Grandma and Grandpa were gone. It's nice to know that they do so well when we're gone for a few days.

The girls have been a little obsessed with some plain green beads at daycare, so I promised them that we would bring them some fancy beads as a souvenir. Horse beads were a big hit, but so were the large Mardi Gras themed beads a friend gave me.

They both refused to actually wear their beads for the picture despite wearing them a ton over the past two days, and Harper wanted to use her blankie to be a ghost.
