Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning was so much fun. The girls were super excited to open presents. They got most of their big ticket items, although Harper was a little disappointed that Santa "forgot" to bring high heels.

Christmas Eve

We went to church on Christmas eve, where the girls amused our fellow church-goers by dancing to all of the Christmas carols. We had an amazing dinner, the girls each opened a present, they left cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer, and they went to sleep without a peep:)

Their new Christmas PJs were a huge hit!

Four Years and Nine Months!

I cannot believe how fast time is flying. My little babies are almost 5! And they are already making all sorts of plans for what's going to happen when they're 5 (booster seats and pedicures according to them:).

At four and three quarters:
  • Our house is officially pull-up free!
  • The girls love their blankies and are always asking for new stuffed animals.
  • They love dressing up and coloring.
  • They love building snowmen and having snowball fights.
  • They love swimming lessons. Tannah moved up to the next section, and they are both doing so well swimming independently.
  • The girls wear size 5-6 clothes and size 11 shoes.
  • They love Disney movies and PJ Masks.
  • They love preschool and Darcy.
  • They love their singing Elsa dolls and sticky mosaics.
  • The often get hot at night and take off their pajamas (silly girls!).
  • They are really into holidays. They are planning their birthday party and their Halloween costumes.
They are so much fun, part of me wishes they could stay this age forever.

Christmas Cookies

Growing up, we had an annual Christmas Cookie Bake day with my aunts. My mom still does it, and we happened to be visiting that weekend. My aunt and two of my cousins came for a full day of baking and decorating. The girls declared it a Bake-off (they also declared that I won with my chocolate covered cherry cookies and mint oreo balls:)

Harper's cookies -I finally put a 3 red hot per cookie limit on her:)

Naughty Gingerbread Houses

The girls and I made gingerbread houses using the same kit of four houses that we made last year. We had a harder time keeping the houses together this year, and when Harper's fell apart, she deemed it a "naughty gingerbread house." Tannah is by far the most patient and detail oriented when it comes to decorating gingerbread houses (her house was way better than mine:).

Meeting Santa

We didn't make it to a mall at all during December, so the Twins Club Christmas party was the girls' only chance to see Santa. Harper is still pretty nervous around him, but Tannah was ok.
