Adventures in Michigan Part Two

During the second half of our week in Michigan, we packed up the girls and headed up north to visit my grandparents.  Harper woke up around 4 am, and it quickly became apparent that she wasn't going to go back to sleep anytime soon, so we decided we might as well just start to drive so they would sleep most of the way.  It worked like a charm.  We took off at about 5 am, and both girls fell asleep and slept until about 10 minutes before we got to the restaurant we wanted to stop at for breakfast.  We had to stop briefly to feed Tannah, but the restaurant was over half way there, so I was really happy.

Breakfast was fantastic, and I was able to feed and change the girls before we hit the road again.  Tannah got up to play with grandma for a while, but Harper decided she wanted to keep snoozing.

When we got back in the car, the girls went to sleep, and slept for the rest of the trip!  It took us about six hours, and it's normally about 4.5, but we stopped for gas and breakfast, so that was pretty good with two babies.

I don't get to see my grandparents enough because we live so far away, so I was really excited for the girls to meet them.

Harper really liked meeting Great Grandma!

These girls' smiles can just light up a room.  I pretty much spend all day long trying to get them to smile because it's so beautiful.  Luckily, they're pretty smiley babies (when they're not tired or hungry), so they reward me frequently.
