The girls are 15 months old, and they are about as delightful as at gets. We have our share of whining, screaming, and fighting, but we also get lots and lots of hugs, kisses, and giggles. I'm still missing them terribly, so it was really nice to get to spend five days with them last week. Only a few more days until my family is finally living together!
At 15 months:
- The girls can say "mama", "dada", "this", "that", and "hi". I'm pretty sure they think they are saying all sorts of other things as well.
- They got what will hopefully be their last bottle yesterday morning. While I will miss the snuggle time during bottles, I have to accept that they are toddlers rather than babies now.
- They sleep from about 7:30/8:00 pm to about 8 am. Since they don't currently have to get up for daycare, we used our new time zone to push their bedtime back a little.
- The girls love playing outside and getting dirty. They love dirt, and sticks, and rocks. And putting all of those in their mouths. Going outside with them is definitely a two-person job.
- The girls eat three meals a day and get milk at least three times. They also love to drink water. They both use the sign for milk to signal that they want something to drink.
- They wear size 12-18 month clothes (although most 6-12 month shorts still fit) and size 4 shoes.
- They wear size 4 diapers.
- Their hair is getting long enough that we need to figure out how to keep it out of the eyes, but they don't really like wearing bows or headbands.
- They love cheese sticks, ravioli, and pretty much any type of fruit.
- They are starting to show that they care about each other. When they are in the mood, they share and make sure that their sister also has a drink, strawberry, blanket, etc. The other day Harper was having a meltdown in a store and Tannah started patting her back and giving her hugs. It was about the cutest thing I've ever seen.
- Tannah has 9 teeth, and Harper is working on numbers 7 and 8.
