Two Years and Five Months

We are marching closer and closer to 2 and a half, and I cannot believe how big the girls seem these days. They are little talking machines, their hair is growing longer, and they just don't look like little babies anymore. I'm lucky that they love to give hugs and kisses and snuggle, so I still get lots of snuggle time with my big girls.

At 29 months:
  • They love to ride bikes (and can both pedal), play with their cozy coupes and scooter, slide, and swing.
  • It amazes me the things that they say and put together. Harper recently said that she wanted to go to Grandma's house. I told her that Grandma and Grandpa weren't home. Tannah said,
"Grandma and Grandpa are on a field trip". A couple of days later she told me she was ready to go on a field trip in an airplane to see Grandma and Grandpa. They crack me up.
  • They love to tease each other. They are constantly grabbing each others' blankets and puppies (the current favorite toys) and running off with them leaving their sister screaming.
  • They also like to argue. If Harper says she saw a motorcycle, Tannah will insist that she didn't. Over, and over, and over again.
  • We have added Take Me Out to the Ballgame to our nightly songs. Grandpa taught them to say "root, root, root for the Cubbies" instead of home team.
  • Tannah has 19 teeth, and Harper has 18.
  • They wear size 2T clothes, although they are moving into 3T for tops. They wear size 7 shoes and size 5 diapers.
  • They sleep from about 8 until 7. Some nights they stay up far to late in their bedroom, and they don't like to get out of bed until they are good and ready. We often have to wake them up during the week, and Harper always complains that it's "too bright" when I turn on the light.
  • They love their blankies and puppies and big hugs and kisses and to be tucked in every night.
  • They like to "cook" for us in their play kitchen. The girls made me multiple pots of "coffee" tonight and were delighted when I pretended to drink it.

I cannot imagine two more fun, loving little girls.
