The girls both did really well at the appointment. It started with a finger prick, and they were nervous about that, but both did fine. They both wanted to go first (Harper got to), and she said it didn't really hurt. They were able to perform all of the tasks the doctor asked of them (walking on tip toes, hopping on one foot, etc.) Then they found out that they had to get three shots, and it was game over. Tannah said she wanted to go first, but had a complete breakdown before the first needle came even close to her leg. Of course, that terrified Harper who tried to curl up in a ball on the floor to avoid her shots. They both survived (and got an ice cream treat that afternoon), but I wasn't at all prepared for the drama. No more shots (except the flu shot) until they're 11, so we've got a good long time.
