Michigan's Adventure

We're planning a trip to Disney World next year, so, since that's a very big, expensive trip, I decided I should see how the girls feel about rides. My mom and I decided to take the girls to Michigan's Adventure for the day. One of my aunts and three of my cousins came with us.

The day started out a little shaky. The park had lots of rides for kids, but all of them had height limits that meant that my mom and I couldn't ride with them, and they didn't want to ride alone. I finally dragged the girls onto the Ferris Wheel since we could all ride together, and they both liked that. Tannah then rode a swing type ride with my mom, and we rode on car ride where the girls could drive, and they both loved that.

After lunch, we headed to the water park. Harper ended up falling asleep in my mom's arms, so Tannah and I went and played and had a blast. When Harper woke up, she tried one water slide, but she spun around and banged her ankle when my mom caught her, and she didn't like that. We decided to head back to the rides, and I'm not exactly sure what happened, but my aunt and I took our stuff back to the car, and when we got back it was like a switch had flipped in the girls and they all of the sudden loved rides. Apparently they went on a teacup ride with my cousin, and he was spinning it like crazy. When the ride was over, Harper said, "let's go again people!". They rode whales, and boats, and cars, and firetrucks, and helicopters. We tried to ride a small roller coaster, but Harper is just a smidge under 40 inches. I found one that the height requirement was only 36 inches and we could ride with them. I rode with Harper, and she yelled, "wheeee!" the entire time. They asked to go again, and I rode with Tannah, she marched right up to the first car, and held her hands up in the air like a pro. To end the day, they went on the log ride with me and my mom. It was such a fantastic day!
