11 Months!

Time needs to slow down!  I am so not ready for my babies to turn one next month.  It seems like just yesterday that they were my teeny little girls.  Now they're almost toddlers.  I cannot believe it.

They were up to their usual antics during our photo session.

Oh hey, what's this?

Wait a minute, I have one too?

No mommy, we will not sit still so you can take our picture.

They make me laugh all the time, but they are busy little girls and into everything!

At eleven months:
  • The girls are still crawling and cruising machines.  Tannah took her first steps last weekend and continues to take a few tentative steps here and there.  Harper is working on her balance, and can stand unsupported for short periods of time.
  • Some of their favorite activities are crawling away from us as fast as they can, opening and closing drawers, doors, and cabinets, and pulling out anything they can get their hands on.
  • We're still waiting for our first words.  I think Tannah is getting very close to saying "mama" when she wants me, but she hasn't been consistent enough for me to call it.
  • They love toys that make noise including their laugh and learn home and their dino ball popper.  They love books and will pull as many off our book shelf as they possibly can while giggling the entire time.
  • They are in size 12 month or 6-12 month clothes.  Most of our 12-18 month clothes are still pretty big, but they're so cute that we've started wearing some of them anyway.
  • They are in  size 4 diapers.
  • They sleep from around 7 pm to 6:30 am, and are generally sleeping through the night!  They take two naps/day at daycare, but sometimes still take three on the weekends.  They take longer naps for us, and I think it's because there's more excitement with all of their friends at daycare.
  • Tannah has seven teeth, and Harper has two.  Harper has four more that look like they are going to break through any day.
  • The girls only eat finger foods while at daycare (and we've been getting reports that they're eating very well). We still do a stage 3 food for dinner because I want to make sure that they get enough food before they go to bed.  I've been trying to add more variety into the food that they get, so they've had some of our leftovers (we eat after they go to bed).

I've started planning their first birthday party, which will be here before I know it.

It continues to amaze me how they just get more and more fun every day!
