21 Months!

For some reason, I'm not able to add pictures to Blogger right now, so unfortunately no pictures with this post.  However, the girls are 21 months old today, so some documentation is needed.

*Edited - apparently, not being able to add pictures has something to do with Internet Explorer.  I was able to upload them using a different browser.

Apparently her sister's tortellini looked tastier than hers.

Don't even try it!

They usually sit across from each other to cut down on the food stealing hi-jinks, but I moved them next to each other for a photo-op.

At 21 months:

  • The girls love books (especially books that have flaps to lift), pushing toys all over the house, their toy kitchen, and their blankets and stuffed puppies.
  • They regularly say "more", "up", "down", "mama", "dada", "hi", "bye bye", "ball", "banana", and "milk". Tannah also says "Harper" (so adorable), "shoe", and "sock" and a few more words.
  • They love to take their shoes and socks off in the car.  They often put their shoes back on (usually on the wrong feet) and put their socks on their hands.
  • They love yogurt, animal crackers, cheese, and pretty much all fruit.
  • They drink about three sippy cups of milk per day.
  • They really like to use utensils.
  • They wear size 18-24 pants and a mix of 18-24 month and 2T shirts. They wear size 5 diapers and size 5 shoes.
  • They love to stand on their chairs and look out the window. They can climb up on our dining room chairs, and we have to make sure that we don't leave anything too close to the edge of our counters.
  • They love music, dancing, and nursery rhymes.  They got a cd player with their own cd's for Christmas, and they listen to it pretty much every day.  They love to do the hand motions for "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee".
  • They give fantastic hugs and kisses.
  • They sleep from about 6:45/7 until 6:45, and they take one nap.  Tannah seems to be fighting that nap lately, but I'm really hoping it's just a phase.  That girl needs her naps, but she can't stand the idea that people are having fun without her:)
  • Both girls have 16 teeth, we're just waiting on their two year molars.

  • They are so sweet and fun. It's such a joy to have them in our lives!
