The girls were napping when my cousins arrived for the Halloween party, and they took a little while to warm up. We decided to start with some crafts, and soon enough the girls were ready to put on their Minnie costumes.
The kids made foam pumpkins and balloon ghosts filled with glow sticks. The girls had a blast.
I grabbed a set of cat ears while out buying booing supplies earlier in the day (we got booed twice this year), so I dressed as a cat. My mom found the mouse ears for Wei-Yand, so he could be Mickey to the girls' Minnies.
We decided to let the kids trick or treat around the house, so I handed out treats at the front door, and my mom and sister manned two other doors to give the kids the presents they brought. My treats were kind of thrown together, but they included fruit snacks and bubbles, which were huge hits with the girls. They don't get fruit snacks very often, and they went nuts over them.
The girls had such a good time, and being able to host a party like that made me really happy that we moved back to Michigan and are close enough to my family that people can drive over for the day.
