I mentioned that Tannah came down with a fever at the end of the day of our Halloween party. She seemed ok on Monday, so the girls went to daycare as usual. On Tuesday, I got a call that they were both running fevers. Tannah had been coughing quite a bit, and by Wednesday, both girls had nasty coughs, and Harper was wheezing. I took them to the doctor, and they were diagnosed with sinus infections and "croupy" bronchitis. Harper had to get a breathing treatment, and she was not impressed. I felt so bad for her because she just looked at me and said, "I'm done, mama". It broke my heart. Tannah didn't have to have one, but she kept asking if it was her turn.
We left the doctor with four different kinds of medicine and a phone call to Grandma to come help out while Wei-Yand and I worked. Unfortunately, their diagnoses meant no trick or treating.
The girls still dressed up, and since they had been on antibiotics for over 24 hours, we let them open the door for the trick or treaters.
I attempted to get Tannah to model her treat bag that I made for the girls this year.
Luckily, the girls loved seeing all of the kids in their costumes even if they couldn't go out. They kept demanding for more kids to come.
The next day, we went back to the doctor to re-check Harper. Harper was doing great, but this time it was Tannah's turn for a breathing treatment.
Fortunately, the girls have both recovered from their illnesses. They like to tell me, "mama, I feel better now.":)
