Christmas Eve

My parents came into town on Christmas Eve. They kept the girls at their house for the night, so Wei-Yand and I could get ready for Christmas. For Wei-Yand, this meant relaxing. For me, this meant the great Christmas sewing project of 2013 (a.k.a. doll diaper bags, diapers, changing pad, and wipes with case):)

My mom and I took the girls to church while Wei-Yand and my dad made dinner (hot pot, yum, yum!). The girls were so good at church and totally charmed everyone around us.

After dinner, we decorated a few cookies. Since I was busy sewing, I decided to take a short cut and I just bought refrigerated cookie dough, rolled it out, and used cookie cutters. The cookies didn't exactly turn out as planned, but they tasted good:)

I figured the least messy option would be for me to frost the cookies and let the girls decorate with sprinkles.

The girls loved the sprinkles:)

They cookies were peppermint flavored, and the girls weren't fans.

Growing up, we always opened one present on Christmas Eve, so we've continued that tradition with the girls. As usual, they got their Christmas PJs from grandma and grandpa.

The girls put cookies and milk out for Santa as well as carrots for his reindeer before calling it a night.
