I'm almost a week late, but I was busy preparing for, and then recovering from the girls' birthday party:) The girls had their one year well-baby check-up last week, and they are both doing great. They handled their shots (three plus a finger poke) very well. I was very proud of them.

The girls are little bundles of energy, and they are constantly making me laugh.
At one year:
- Tannah is officially walking. She's still a little unsteady, but it's quickly becoming her preferred method of moving.
- Harper can stand on her own for a few seconds, and will take two lunging steps toward me if I try to get her to walk.
- The girls love their new chairs, knocking down stacks of blocks, and playing with their toy phone. They also seem to particularly love whatever toy their sister has at that moment.
- They are becoming increasingly attached to blankets and lovies. Tannah especially always wants to have a blanket with her.
- They are completely on table foods. They are very good eaters at daycare, but can be a little picky at dinner when they are starting to get tired.
- They were sleeping through the night, but Harper appears to be having a slightly rough time with the transition to whole milk, and she has been waking up most nights. She sometimes wakes up Tannah, who does not appreciate being woken up when she's sleeping.
- They generally go to bed around 7 pm and get up around 6:30.
- They take excellent naps for us on the weekends, but don't nap for very long at daycare. I think it's because there's too much excitement there.
- They are starting to understand what we say to them, but we're still waiting for their first real words. They babble constantly.
- They like being read to, but they also like to "read" books on their own.
They are just the sweetest little one-year olds ever!
