November was another month full of changes for the two of you. We went to Michigan for Aunt Brynne's wedding shower. Everyone was amazed by how good you were. I think you were a little overwhelmed by all of the people, but you let all of our family and friends pass you around with no problems. People's only complaint was that they didn't get to hold you enough because someone was always coming to snatch you away.
You had your first bath in the big girl bathtub that month. You were not impressed. Fortunately, you started to like bath time much more once I felt comfortable letting you sit up in the tub. Watching you giggle and splash now is so much fun. It's hard to even remember your first few baths when you didn't like the tub.
You were normally happy, smiley little babies, but I managed to catch you off your game for our 7 month photo shoot. I called this the "angry turkey" picture. Aunt Brynne and Grandma both thought I should have tried to re-take the pictures another day, but I thought it was important to remember that you weren't always the happy little babies that show up in most of our pictures. There were days that you made us work:)
Luckily those days were few and far between. You were normally very quick with your smiles.
Tannah, you started crawling this month, and you didn't let anything get in your way, including your sister. Harper, you started creeping, but you weren't quite fast enough to get out of Tannah's way, so you got climbed on pretty frequently. You've always been very easy going when it comes to your sister (and most things except sleep) so you never seemed to mind being steamrolled.
When you started daycare, you also started getting sick:( You had runny noses and ear infections for most of November. You did not like to have anyone wipe your nose, but it was really hard for us to tell if you had an ear infection because you didn't display any big symptoms. You never ran fevers, and you didn't pull at your ears any more than usual. You were my strong little girls even then. Tannah, your first two teeth popped through this month, and just like with the ear infections, we didn't even know it was happening until they were there.
The whole family came to visit us for Thanksgiving, and despite having two active little girls to take care of, we managed to have a fantastic dinner. You two got your first taste of Turkey, but no pumpkin pie for you this year:)
We managed to get a family picture with all eight of us!
And one of just the four of us. I love our little family so much. Just looking at this picture brings tears of happiness to my eyes. Daddy and I had so much to be thankful for last year.
Ever since Daddy and I got married, Grandma and Grandpa had been very excited to have grandchildren. Grandpa would always tell me how amazing it was to have kids and how I could never really understand the depth of his love for me until I had kids of my own. He was right. I love a lot of people, but I think my heart started to grow even before you were born. I look at the two of you and feel like my heart is overflowing with love. It's enough to make me forget all of the sleepless nights and long days:)
We put our Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving, and you sat with me in the living room while I decorated it. I told you the story of every single ornament when I pulled them out of their boxes and put them on the tree. You were fascinated:)
