By the time February arrived, the two of you were on the move. Seriously, neither of you would sit still for very long unless you're drinking your milk. Then you'll sit still for about the 3.5 minutes it took you to gulp it down, and then you were up and back at it again.
You spent hours walking around the furniture. Tannah, you started standing up without holding on to anything, and I thought that you were for sure going to just take right off one day, but you were my cautious little girl. Harper, you had a tendency to let go when you probably should have kept holding on. It was not uncommon to see a little bruise on your forehead or cheek during this month.
At 10 months, you were silly, wiggly, talkative little girls. Both of you were constantly chattering away like you expected everyone in the world to understand you. Sometimes I would watch the two of you together and think that you understood each other. One of you would say something, and the other would smile and laugh. You both have these adorable little belly laughs. They're very different, but both make everyone around you smile along with you.
You made me and Daddy Valentine's at daycare. I almost cried when I saw them I was so happy. I can honestly say that they are one of my favorite presents ever. It's been almost two months, and they're still hanging on our fridge (and not going anywhere anytime soon). The two of you are such wonderful, special little girls. Mommy loves you too!
Aunt Brynne and Uncle Joe got married in February. You got to wear fancy dresses, and we spent three nights at a hotel. It had been a while since our swimming lessons ended, so Grandma and I took you swimming in the hotel pool. The water was nice and warm, and you loved it!
Both of you were so good during the wedding. I was in the wedding, so you sat with Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa. You sang along with the music and tried to tell Aunt Brynne how pretty she looked a few times during the ceremony:)
We left you with a baby-sitter other than Grandma and Grandpa or Aunt Hillary that night while Daddy and I went to the reception. Harper, you got a little sick, so Daddy had to go back to the hotel for a while to get you settled down, but other than that you did very well. You did decide to wake up much earlier than usual the next morning (4:50 am!), so we were very tired!
Grandma made you shawls to wear at the wedding. We accidentally left them in the car, so you didn't get to wear them that day, but you liked to play dress-up with them.
The two of you seemed to get more fun and interactive every single day. You always made me, Daddy, and each other laugh because you were so silly.
You both loved walking around with your dinosaur. I think this was the first toy that the two of you really fought over. If one of you started playing with it, the other wanted to be there too, so it was a race to see who could stand up and take off walking first. The other of you was often left crawling frantically after your sister.
You were such little sweeties. You started blowing kisses and waving goodbye this month. You would also (sometimes) give us kisses when we asked for them. By kisses, I mean big, slobbery, open-mouthed kisses, but you would giggle away while giving them. You gave us hugs as well.
Harper, you really liked to snuggle with your sister. The two of you were so wiggly that I started changing your diapers on the floor rather than the changing table. When Tannah was laying down to have her diaper changed, Harper, you would come over and lay down so that your head was right next to hers. It's moments like that that make me think everyone who doesn't have a twin is really missing out on something special. I love that you were starting to be able to show your love for us and for each other.
